hypocrisy and (il)legality

If you haven’t checked out the Washington Post article on slum landlords in D.C. who rarely if ever are charged, it’s disheartening to say the least.

The US now has passed the horrific milestone millstone of 1% of the population (you know as in 1 in a 100) in prison. Complements of the highly successful war on drugs. But no slum landlords to be sure. Go Team!!!!

A country where (Las Vegas excepted) prostitution is illegal (why I have no idea) but don’t expect high price clients like Gov. Spitzer (#9) to be headed to the slammer anytime soon.

Oh yeah and something about retributive versus rehabilitative justice, but I’m fighting off a cold.
