The Undertaking: Frontline

You can watch the entire episode here.

It is one of the most beautiful documentaries I’ve ever seen.  For all my blogging about this topic in the world or that issue, there is something that can’t be replicated in the simple beauty of watching people live (and die).  And as a theologian, it is perhaps the most concrete, best description of a vocation I know of–versus just a job.

Also the movie shows an amazing young couple who are struggling with the impending death of their very young son who was born with a rare genetic disease.  There is an extra video on the site which is the mother giving a eulogy for the son.  Get the tissues ready for that one.
