On “learning” that Canada is America’s hat, the spousal response:
“If Canada is America’s hat, then America is Canada’s ballz.”
Which gives a new meaning to thinking with the other head I suppose. [Hat/head/genitalia get it?]
I was going to say that if Canada is America’s hat, then that makes Vancouver the strap. [Unless the hat is fitted I suppose]. But her response is certainly more colourful (spelled in Canadian fashion with the extra ‘u’) to say least. I think this was her version of fulfilling the National Anthem:
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons [and daughters] command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
