Rep. platform redux

Since I was kinda hard on the Republican Platform yesterday, I went back through it so I could point out some positives.  As to social so-called culture war issues, it is as Phyllis Schlafly says, the most pro-social con ever: abstinence only education; national amendments for both pro-life and pro-hetero only marriage (bye bye federalism); keeping faith-based initiatives without stipulations about government moneys being used to fund religious proselytism (as in Obama’s plan).

Hell they even got in a shot on the Law of the Sea Treaty.  [For those who don’t know, search the database of TheWashingtonNote who has do yeoman’s work on the subject.  For a sampling of a Republican who thinks otherwise, via the Note, here.]

So what did I come up with positively?  Some strong stuff on human trafficking on page 7.  That’s about it unfortunately.
