Up, Up, and Uppity

Today’s fantastic line from a Republican Rep:

“Just from what little I’ve seen of her and Mr. Obama, Sen. Obama, they’re a member of an elitist-class individual that thinks that they’re uppity,” Westmoreland said.

If you are gonna call the guy and his wife uppity, call them uppity. Don’t say they think their uppity, that’s double uncool. To paraphrase Yoda: Either uppity or not uppity–there is no think.

Rep. Westmoreland could consult the following and meditate deeply on it so as to learn the difference between the two (and when to tell if someone is in fact uppity or not):

Remember that Rep. Westmoreland is only saying that the Obamas are not like the rest of America, hate America, think they are better than everyone else, do elitist things like “community organizing” for poor folk, but that in no way is meant as a racial slight. Lord Have Mercy son.
